The
magnificent and incomparable Captain
Kathryn Janeway is played by the equally magnificent and incomparable Kate
Mulgrew! She
represents a strong female leader and commander - a rarity on tv and even in the
Star Trek realm. Janeway is my newest role model and an inspiration when it
comes to those tough command decisions. My new mantra - "What Would Janeway Do?" In real life Kate is married to Tim Hagan, a
prospective Governor of Ohio. Imagine - from Starship Captain to First lady of
Ohio.
Here are some of the many sites dedicated to Kate.
Totally Kate - best site I've found so far on the WONDERFUL Kate
Now Voyager - the Kate Mulgrew Appreciation Society
Gorgeous Kate - a gorgeous site indeed that I have just been introduced to. Features a page on the Cleveland Con and my very own photos!
Kate Mulgrew Forever - I think you get the picture ;-)
The Secret Life of Janeway and Chakotay! More information than we really need!

Seven
of Nine, the one in THAT sprayed-on suit. Rescued from the Borg and
reintroduced into humanity by Janeway and the Doctor. Astrometrics whip and
the fantasy of all males on the ship.
Portrayed by Jeri Ryan. Jeri appeared at the DC Con, Aug 01
B'Elanna
Torres - the fiesty and
very sexy Chief Engineer (bit different from Scottie!). Half Klingon, half Human - all WOMAN!!
Also recently gave birth to Miral.
Played by Roxann Dawson with lots of latex. I saw her live at the Cleveland Convention and the DC Con, Aug 01.
'Poor'
Harry
Kim was a fresh-faced young ensign on his first mission when
Voyager was zapped into the Delta Quadrant. Unfortunately even though Janeway
took him under her wing and treated him like a son she never did promote him -
at least not in this timeline!
Garrett Wang who plays Harry is featured online at the Garrett Wang Appreciation Society and The First Garrett Wang Website. I saw Garrett at the Richmond Convention in Sep 00.
The
EMH
(Emergency Medical Hologram) - affectionately known as the Doctor and perhaps later "Joe"
;-) Photonic Life Form Rights Activist and wannabe opera singer are just two of
his claims to fame.
Robert Picardo makes a great doctor. Robert made a fun convention guest at the Long Island Convention in New York, Dec 00 and at the DC Con, Aug 01. He also has another site - the EMH Journal.
Tuvok,
the dependable Vulcan Security Officer. Janeway's oldest friend and confidante.
Also apparently capable of producing the most unfathomable
gaseous anomalies in the Delta Quadrant according to Roxann!
Tim Russ, an incorrigible practical joker plays the dour Vulcan.
The
Flyboy, Lt
Tom Paris. Son of an Admiral, ex-con (in New Zealand no less!),
sometime Captain Proton and the best helmsman in the Delta Quadrant - just ask
him. Married the fiesty B'Elanna and settled down considerably when the baby was
on its way (UNLIKE B'Elanna).
Robert Duncan McNeill plays Tom. Robbie also appeared at the DC Con, Aug 01.
Chakotay, First Officer and Janeway's erstwhile early love interest. Somehow he ended up with Seven in the final ep. Oh well - I guess pickings were poor for an ex-Borg.
Robert Beltran is Chakotay.
Neelix
is Voyager's Telaxian Chief Cook and Bottle washer. He was rescued
from the Caretaker's array by Voyager and acted as cook, ambassador and morale
officer. Stayed behind in the Delta Quadrant with a colony of Telaxians as the
Federation's DQ Ambassador. Neelix even has his own trading
site online.
Ethan Phillips is the guy under all that make up and is a very funny man. He was a hilarious member of the Voyager Fab 4 at the DC Con, Aug 01.
Kes
was an Ocampan rescued by Voyager in "The Caretaker" (the first
episode). Ocampans are telekinetic when allowed to live up to their potential
but only live
until 9 years old. Unfortunately Kes was dumped for 7 of 9...er I mean evolved
into pure energy and had to leave the ship...near the beginning of Season 4.
Jennifer Lien made a sympathetic and intelligent Kes.
